There are many things that go wrong with your motorcycle but there are lots of places you can go online to find help with these and in many cases they have solutions for these problems. The only trouble is this can not always be accurate as they don’t actually inspect the motorcycle. Here are some known solutions to common problems:
I sometimes have the problem of my motorcycle breaking down and I don’t know how to jump start it so I end up having to wait for some that hopefully knows what they are doing. How can I do this on my own? It’s a fairly simple process all you need to do is make sure the two batteries are compatible for example because some car batteries have different outputs to motorcycles it may ruin some of the bikes electrical circuits. Before starting anything you need to make sure the bike with the good battery is running and the one that has the dead battery is in neutral. You need to start by attaching the red jump cable clip (the positive + cable) to the positive terminal of the dead battery. You then attach the other end of the positive cable to the positive terminal on the bike with the good battery.
Then you get the negative (-) cable clip and attach either to the frame of the bike with the dead battery, if you can’t find a suitable part on the frame to clip the cable attach to the negative terminal instead. You then need to attach the other clip on the negative cable to a suitable frame part on the bike with the good battery or the negative terminal if there’s no frame space suitable. Then all that’s left to do is try to start the ignition on the bike with the dead battery once started you need to take the cables off immediately in the order that they were put on.
Whilst riding my motorcycle up hill or if I try to speed up the power sometimes slips and it feels like I’ve lost power what could be causing this to happen? There are a couple of things you would need to check when something like this happens and its especially important to know what to do when it does because if you loose the power from the back it could cause you to go into a spin. One of the main causes of this is your engine being low on oil and if this is the case then you need to let the engine cool down and refill as soon as possible. If you have no oil make sure you get some as soon as you can because your engine running out of oil will cause it to pull dirt into the system, and as well as that your engine will seize and this has the same affect as a wheel lock. After you have refilled the oil if the problem persists you will have to take it to a garage to have the fault diagnosed.
To most common problems with motorcycles there is a fairly simple solution although the best way to stop these problems occurring is to make sure you carry out regular maintenance on the different parts of your vehicle.
